A Whisper of Caladan Seas - my God, this is one of the saddest stories I think I’ve read in the Dune universe so far. All these men, young and old, dragged to a sand planet by their duke, light years away from home, only to die sealed in a cave with no way of escape, telling stories about back home as their oxygen and light slowly diminishes. - 4/5

I am reading in chronological order for the whole series. These short stories are read between the bigger novels.
