Status Updates From The Mountain in the Sea

Ive stuck with it because the premise is fascinating, but the writing loses me almost every chapter. This is an interesting story but it could be told in a much more concise way.

This is my third time trying to get into this book and I think I finally can dedicate my time to it. There was something about the way it was written that turned me off, but now I can find it more manageable. I still think the writing is horrifically stiff and does the interesting world a major injustice. The themes of autonomy and humanity are incredibly interesting and I look forward to see how they’re done.
