i still don’t understand why this isn’t lois lane. yeah she’s a teen but… she’s determined, unwilling to give up, wants to lend her voice and support others, fights for what she believes in? yeah, she’s softer and friendlier here, i guess, less suspicious of people but like… the core characteristics are there, come on?

just finished and 🥹 so many beautiful life lessons. letting go and relaxing and letting it be and speaking up and believing and opening up and ahhhhh i love this book so much, i genuinely want a physical copy of it

beautiful as long as i don’t think that it’s the teenagers who write this stuff 😹 teenagers who don’t have enough expertise or experience but are loved by the entire city 😹 but oh well, this is ya so whatever

i love the pages where they were writing and publishing and getting their first comment sm cuz 🥹🥹 their emotions amplified by the illustrations and that’s truly how it feels to be completely overtaken by something like that

one thing that i potentially dislike is:

“why do you like it? information gathering. reporting. writing.”

i wish she said she cared about the truth. this drive to know the truth is LOIS so having it absent… maybe that’s what somebody meant

why is this not lois lane? she stands up for what she believes in (anti-racism and anti shitty treatment), she wants to get to the truth w that vile man…?

like yeah there’s more personal struggle and fear of failure and is that why? but she doesn’t give up and she persists?

gosh are white ppl in power truly that awful and racist? ive never actually witnessed acts of racism in person and i can’t wrap my head around the fact that its actually like that for many people with many people

the colors are GORGEOUS. my favorite style, truly. drawings are nice too!! but it’s the vibrant colors that are stealing my heart
