To simplify, gender inequality is not a one way street. Men and women are different and experience different inequalities. As a mother of boys, it is important to be aware of where boys may experience these inequalities and be sure to advocate for them.

Thoughts on part 1:
The author makes an emphasis that the role of men should be expanded from more than the provider. Women have managed to extend their role of caretakers to also provide for their family. Reading this from the point of view of a younger generation makes his arguments too obvious. Nonetheless, I’m currently enjoying it.
