I know the title and cover isn’t convincing at all but this came recommended and I was happy at how good and well-written this is. The hate, the indifference, the tension. Ugh. My heart hurts and my stomach clenches for Jem. I love it.

So far everyone in this book but Jem is unlikable. His parents suck , his siblings suck and his new husband sucks. The fact his mother who supposedly loves him shows no empathy towards his situation doesn't sell me their closeness. I hope something changes. Cause right now Jem is the only positive going for this one.
