Loving others well is inherently inconvenient. Community, by its very nature, is perilous to the ego. When you truly invest in a relationship, you risk being hurt. When you love your neighbor, not just your clique, you risk being challenged. You risk being exposed or told you might be wrong. You risk being asked to give more than you get, to experience as many withdrawals as deposits."

It's easy for church to become a place where we gather to consume content, rather than to commune in love.
