Act 3 was genuinely insane why did literally everyone just drop dead

Act 4 was weird, and I don’t really get Polixenes’ angle with trying to get his son to tell him about Perdita and then being angry about it, but I’m interested in seeing what happens once Perdita meets Leontes

Read Act 4 Scene 3. Seems very comical & a bit out of place for the rest of the play. Not sure why either of these two characters matter yet but whatever.

Read Act 4 Scene 1. Nothingburger, just announces the timeskip.

Read Act 3 Scene 3 (last of Act 3). Deserts? In Bohemia? I know it was the 1600s but I never really realized how uneducated people back then were. The bear makes me giggle. Kinda boring section but I can tell it sets stuff up for later.

Read Act 3 Scene 2. Oh damn. They both died. King Leontes is too much of a dick to be believable but it's Shakespeare so whatever. A character mentions Russia which is weird but whatever I guess I'm overthinking it. Really liked this part though.

Read Act 3 Scene 1. Very short. Just exposition

Finished Act 2 Scene 3 (last of Act 2). The Romulus and Remus tie in is kinda cool. Wished we actually talked about it during the Ovid lectures but whatever. Also just now realizing that this play is set in antiquity. Hope I can take fine shyte to the showing of it, she didn't say no but also didn't say yes.

So far this is definitely my favorite Shakespeare play. I HATE Leontes and dumbass Antigonus. I can’t believe they left Hermione to give birth in prison. I also absolutely adore Paulina. She’s such a G for yelling at Leontes and standing up for Hermione
