Status Updates From The Fiction Writer

This is getting a bit painful. The main character is a grown ass woman who is making choices I cannot justify. Just too unbelievable. Perhaps if she was much younger (as in, eighteen or nineteen), or we were given something in her backstory that explained naivety and an inability to judge people and situations, it would be more readable.
