I forget when I put this book down for long periods of time that the more frequently I read, the more I get into a rhythm of understanding that is invaluable for such a topic as this.

He replied:
“Such a coalescence comes about if the mind always remains essentially conscious of its intrinsic nature, undetached from its luminous clarity throughout the four modes of daily conduct.”

I’ve been reading this book for I don’t know how many years now. It’s one of the most abstract texts I’ve ever read (how can you put the indescribable into words?), and I’m making a goal to finish it by the time I go to a meditation retreat in August. Wish me luck.
