Status Updates From The Big Fake

I sincerely want to DNF this right now. I’m bored. I’m annoyed with this portrayal of Pearl’s Southern family. I’m annoyed with the way this is all unfolding and I’m SO OVER Pearl and Dean. So over them, in fact, that I forgot his name was actually Dean at the time of writing and I had to switch back to the book to make sure.

The novelty of the trainwreck has worn off. Now I’m having a hard time getting going again. Road closed. Turn back. Ugh. Gonna start a new book to revitalize myself.

This book is actually horrifying the shit out of me. But I can’t look away.
