I absolutely loved reading The Colour Out of Space, The Haunter of the Dark, and The Whisperer in Darkness. These stories captivated me with their unique and chilling narratives. The idea of discovering something so horrific that it makes you wish you had never been curious is truly unsettling and thought-provoking.

The first story is The Call of Cthulhu, and in order to try to understand the language, I am reading this in an old English accent. Taking place in the mid-1920s in Providence, Rhode Island, we learn about the narrator, the narrator’s granduncle George Angell, who was a professor who had recently passed away, and a sculptor/artist who was having these strange dreams and was in contact with the professor.

Finished The Whisperer in Darkness! One of the chapters was just Lovecraft explaining a concept of like alien tech but other than that it was pretty cool!

Finished Call of Cthulhu, my third read of it. Still an extremely fun story that paved the way for all future Cosmic Horror.
