I'm quitting book. Can't place finger on the disinterest in the story and the characters. The lead lady is clever and smart and cool in a put-off way that makes my eye roll. She's also a piner but google says that's not a word. I wish there was a better system for dnf books.

Finally! the one scene that makes the whole book worth reading. Before this it was rather dry and devoid of drama. Oh the world-building was amazingly detailed, but it was all stuff for the mind and the senses...this one scene is all heart.
