What unhistoric of the Post-Millenialists to say the early church fathers didn’t believe at all in Premillenialism.

How can those guys think we replace Israel? Just reading such a statement makes me sick.

Nice to analyze how Jesus interpreted prophecy. This morn, quite the discussion on Paul's being almost killed by Jews (unbelieving or believing, the contention). Reading storylike Acts book, so fulfilling. I got to tell them I was going to write a Bible novel after the Civil War. Then the talk devolved into the old Great Commission argument. *sigh*

Love the history! Augustine pushes symbolism into interpretation, and poor Tyndale burns at the stake for trying to translate the Bible. Incredibly horrendous!

Be wary of the theology that sounds good, that sells well, and pleases a self-interested (as opposed to God-centered) view of the world.

The history of Christian Reconstructionist theology is certainly fascinating...

What stark revelations indeed. The poor Jews in history! Us Christians, who should have been their closest friends, persecute them as "Christ-killers" throughout the Middle Ages. Even Martin Luther advocated violence against Jewish homes. His despicable tract is, as the Encyclopedia Judaica says, just short of the ovens of Auschwitz and extermination. Shows that even God's children can be led by Satan to such depths.

A revelatory book so far. The beginning really drew me in. Rowena (hereafter, R) picked it up after getting interested in the Holocaust after watching "Watch on the Rhine." How Hitler's philosophy evolved from so many mistakes by the Christians was sobering to see.
