“Morgan again sticks out because Paul, as I have just mentioned, looks about five – a drunken five, but still five. Maggie bears a startling resemblance to Mama June in the pre-meth days of Honey Boo Boo”

“Real money means whatever you do, including killing, goes unnoticed.”

Several of these charges show that Alex turned his clients’ settlements into money orders paid out to family members or “loan repayments.” Sometimes he just blatantly converted a client’s trust account into plain old cash for himself and a family member.

So this story now reads that the son, who made x amount of dollars a year, one day asked his father for a three hundred thousand dollar loan, which his father gave to him, never asking him either, “What’s it for?” or “How are you ever going to pay this back?” And when it was paid back, never asking “Where’d you get the money, son?”

Yikes, so much dirt here

I have to wonder what Randolph III would have said about Alex’s confessions.... As it happened, Randolph III died three days after the murders, so he didn’t have to say anything at all. One funny thing, though: Alex “repaid a loan” to his rich, old father in the amount of three hundred thousand dollars in 2018, money Alex stole from the settlement

The firm claims that they never had a clue that Alex was stealing clients’ funds, not until one day someone at the firm saw a suspicious-looking check upon Alex’s desk. Oh, the shock!

The firm then took a strong stand on the matter and asked Alex to resign. Alex was suddenly filled with remorse (and maybe Oxycontin) following this event, and the very next day he decided to commit suicide, allegedly.

Obviously, he too believed that there was no further risk to anyone in the neighborhood – or perhaps he was just crossing his fingers, stunned by grief.

If only Alex’s father, Randy III Murdoch, hadn’t been overheard saying to Alex a few days beforehand, “If you don’t take care of Paul, I will.”

That knowledge gives me pause for thought.
