Azan acting like he doesn’t know Guts and the rest, and them knowing with certainty that it’s him was so hilarious to me. He kept his (very recognizable helmet, mind you) on at all times and never once answered to them calling him Vice-Commander Azan. But I understand and relate to him on a spiritual level. I too would do that lmao.

The sequence of Emperor Gashinka’s transformation and moving out was absolutely stunning! And horrifying! It reminds so much of the rumbling! Particularly at the end where it’s through his own POV that we see everything. I got chills when Sonia said that the reason of the world ends now! I absolutely love this! And the art is insanely good! I can’t wait to continue reading!

And I loved the shifting POVs! It’ll always be one of my favorite things about this manga! Following Sir Laban through Windham and seeing all this madness unfolds right before our eyes is so good! Griffith had planned all of this to make himself a victorious hero! I hate him. But it is so cool! I find it interesting that he keeps Zodd and the other Apostles hidden, I wonder when he’ll just drop the appearances

I loved this volume so much! I like the quiet moments between our team; Schierke teaching Farnese, Farnese snapping at Casca and then apologizing immediately (that one was so good!), Isidro training with Azan(who’s trying so hard to act like he is not Azan)& Guts saving Casca yet again from drowning & the list goes on. Roderick is growing on me to be honest! & it was hilarious that those pirates has made a comeback
