In my book, there are pictures of a girl trying on different clothes with her mom: "I (the girl) was pleased with my slender self. I gave all my old clothes away to my friends" (Fairfield 14). My reaction to this denotation was why was the girl giving all her old clothes to her friends even though she loved them and they fit her well

The author used sensory detail by describing how Anna saw her body, when she shopping she told her self she had “wrinkly ugly elbows” (Fairfield). This shows that Anna still does not feel confident in her body and has gone through lots of struggles with her self image.

I see myself in the sense that I dislike my body, and I see another girl dealing with that issue and reacting to it differently. It's important to realize there indeed are other people like us!!

This is a graphic novel. I think the images are really important to the story. I think that without the drawings you wouldn’t really be able to feel the way she’s feeling or see the change that was really happening to her, inside and out.
