Status Updates From This Cursed Line

These words stick to my soul, they burn but in a good way.

The last chapter is absolute perfection!!

Finally caught up to the readalong!!

May I say, 3rd times the charm! Because this 3rd reread is FANTASTIC, didn’t know I could love Pike more then the first time!!

“…doing Lord knows what for the Devil…”
Man, that phrase, both of those “Beings” being mentioned together… I just love it.

Ugh these last chapters are so full of anguish and pain and make me want to cry, Pike is so broken it hurts 😩

I forget how much I adore Pike’s mother, how loving, caring and understanding she is!

And there were so many good quotes that I loved but I got too caught up in the story and didn’t write them down 🙈

“I want to die while the earth can still see me.”
Is one of the most perfect, haunting, aching, beautiful lines I’ve ever read.

Chapter 18 makes me cry and it’s just so well written.

“There is a process of letting go…”

Oof, Watson gets you in all the feels 😭

Pike. Crying. On. Watson’s. Shoulder. 😩

Stepping into Pile’s dreams, his past, gives you a whole new level of this guy and what he’s done and been through. It’s some of my favorites.

We have now met Watson Moore, only the most beautiful character ever created 😩

“Please… don’t try to save me like you do everything else.”

UGH chapter 9 is a heartbreaker 😩

Chapters 9&10 are some of the my favorites for being so intense!

“He glanced up at the crescent moon, hiding from the Devil’s terror behind the clouds.”
(Even the moon is afraid of the devil!)

“I’m always addicted to the wrong things.”

“Death and I have been scandalously close for some time.”

“The fire of hell glistened in his ice-cold eyes.”

At this point reading chapter by chapter, day by day is killing me. I would like to skip ahead now 😫
