Chapter 29 : Touchwood.
My first Karin Kallmaker book and it's a stunner.


I can't believe this was written 30 odd years ago.
The start looked like a train wreck and I'd trouble with the 29yo FMC who acted anything but.

But the messiness, the development of the FMC was tremendous. Incredible story and I can't wait to see what the last 1/4 of the book holds.
Narration by Angela Dawe is magnificent, as usual.

Chapter 27.
Messy, complicated and so Sapphic!

Completely dependent and immature over self important 29yo Rayanne but being saved and dependent and still needing someone's mercy, not her ex, not her mother., now Louisa .
Will she mature at any time soon?

29 year old stupid , super reliant, zero prospects immature child.
Dreaming of Bette Davis.
I would be interested to see if she matures any and grow up.

Cracked out and finished the rest of the book.

I loved this book is definitely a five stars.

The only down side of this book is that it was short.

I would have if it was longer. But definitely a great read.

First book I’ve finished in 2025.

I’m so attached to rayann and Louisa that I refuse to read the sequel of this book. I didn’t know there was a sequel but because I went snooping. What do you mean Louisa is DEAD!!!

Now the roles are reversed and rayann is the older grieving woman.

For my mental health I won’t be read the sequel. 😭😭

This book is definitely 5 stars. 😩😩😩

I’m loving it so much. So attached to rayann and Louisa. This book is perfect and so cute.

Started my second wlw book and good. if keeps going this way it might be a 4 or 5 stars.
