It’s interesting — I’m not totally sure which translation I have, and it’s moments like these I wish I could read Ancient Greek. But I keep thinking — how much of our modern perception of the soul is influenced by Greek philosophy? How much of Christendom has unwittingly bought into Greek ideals which are not rooted in the truth of the Gospel?
