Status Updates From Jack Maggs

So far from what I’ve read, I really do dislike Tobias Oates. He is known for his nature for chasing fame and by using Jack Maggs as his subject and not care for the man secret that kept him in horror is truly cruelty. As for the secret between Jack Maggs and Henry Phipps relationship, I sort of know the complexity but I’m still curious about them. So yeahhh.

I will be reluctant to finish this book. Maggs is such a complex character.

Still so very well written

It is so literarily familiar to be walking the murky streets of 19th century London again with new companions—Tobias, Mercy, Jack, and Percy. LOVE. THIS. BOOK.

I have looked high and low for a book like this. Chapter 1 bodes well for a Dickensian echo.
