I adore the writing and humor from this story. It’s cheeky and witty with a Victorian flare.
“How does one accidentally find oneself in possession of a wife? Is she aware she’s an accident?”

Okay…. I’m on the bandwagon and I’m not getting off anytime soon. I have not laughed this hard reading book in a long time. ( My own daughter has been intrigued just as a bystander listening to my reactions). The references to classical literature and witty banter between characters make this unputdownable. I’ve never been so happy to have 4 books ahead of me to devour.

I said I wasn’t going to do it, but it was available on Libby and I’m so glad I did! I’m cackling and this is a delight.

4 stars! I did enjoy it alot (to be honest, it was much better than the first one). As a teen, this is a good book and I'm sure I'll reread them in the future as well.

Some language. Clean with very little romance.

I love how sassy and sarcastic Emma is! Reminds me of myself. My mom and I love these books and I'll start the third one immediately!!!!<3
