Status Updates From Silmarillion

"My fate, O King, led me here hither, through perils such as few even of the Elves would dare. And here I have found what I sought not indeed, but finding I would possess forever. For it is above all gold and silver, and beyond all jewels. Neither rock, nor steel, nor the fires of Morgoth, nor all the powers of the Elf-kingdoms, shall keep me from the treasure I desire."

I've been listening to the audio book, and though it's a little confusing at times trying to remember whether that strange name of people is supposed to be a group of the Valar or the elves, I'm enjoying it so far.
