All I can say is: Wow. I new literally nothing about Mrs. von Mises before picking up this book, and already I'm amazed by HER (rather than the subject of her book). Accomplished actress, translator, a widow living with her two kids in pre-WWII Vienna. No wonder she attracted the affections of one of the most brilliant men of the century! (And a few others as well, it seems...)
