Slow to get going. This is a recurring problem with Trollope’s weaker efforts. They take time to get going. Usually they’re worth it by Chapter 5. This one was.

Good overall. Long at parts (especially the beginning omg) but I feel their was a good balance between the stories of each character and that the perspective would switch at just the right time. The Senator annoys me lol. Larry is prob my fav.
