The twists just kept coming and coming. Claremont can be a very soap-opera-ish writer at times but this is not one of those moments. In just five issues he managed to step on my heart a thousand times because of the compelling drama and conflict he created for everyone. Looooved this volume.

This series is also written by Claremont and picks up right after the 1991 X-Men issues #1-3 from Mutant Genesis with Magneto dying in his Asteroid M so the X-Men can escape from it. Psylocke and Jubilee are replaced by Shadowcat and Nightcrawler and, finally, Jean Grey and Storm get some spotlight. Especially goddamn Storm who is just awesome! Nick Fury is also around. The first two issues are amazing!
