Excellent. Feels like a step up from B3 in design, although that holds greater nostalgia for me as this one I never played.

It'll be hard not to give it 5 stars for the Holloway art alone 😂

Last time we played we spent 50 mins discussing plans for what we shou;d do, then we spent 45 minutes trying to do what we discussed (and isn't that the best part of role playing), and a half an hour fighting some wondering monsters. So much fun.

It just gets better and better. 45 minutes of role playing to attack one room and problem. That should be what D&D is all about ... I think.

I've already read this, but I am playing it with my kids right now, plucking characters of their choice from other ongoing games, giving them a chance to play them, gain some experience, in a fever dream scenario. Their characters fall asleep in different worlds (or different places in the same world) and find themselves on a sand dune. They don't know one another, but they have teamed up to escape The Lost City.

Main adventure complete, mainly due to the efforts of a hideously strong berserker who took on nearly the entire gambling hall single-handedly.
But we're not done yet - Zargon is still on the loose!

The party learned of the cult of Zargon from the Warrior Maidens and promised to put an end to it, see if that'd allow the remaining factions to live more peacefully. They skipped a good half of the third floor on account of finding a map to the floor after that. Next session someone may be possessed.

They picked the path going straight down to the second level, explored some of it, goofed around with the revolving corridor, then met with the Warrior Maidens. Since the party is mostly female, they got a pretty warm welcome.
Now they're about to set off to beat the tar out of the other two factions (described by the Warrior Maidens as a bunch of irrational, unreasonable, chauvinistic madmen). That oughta be fun.
