I must think only of ordinary things because images and words go fast like animals in the forest when they are escaping harm I get excited thinking about everything in life that flees in the name of life.

In this foreign tongue, I’m not quite able to modulate my voice properly, to sort through the tides of desire and the dregs of the essential. I choke on this tongue that nonetheless intrigues me and keeps me alert. In the end, I always find a solution to the questions of meaning that do not come up in my language. I establish links between beings so that I can juggle with their anguish.

In the foreign language, I am unable to correctly assess the proximity of beings around me. Nor am I able to measure the distance that separates us. Proximity remains difficult for me to comprehend. A mysterious choreography brings us so fervently close to certain beings and imperceptibly distances us from others. Grasping the other in oneself always puts language to the test.
