having the same experience with this book that i had with hill’s other book, the nix. there is a lot here that resonates pretty deeply but a lot of the characters in this book are such cartoonish caricatures of what they’re supposed to represent that it takes me out of it at times. and the dialogue is a slightly too hack for me.
