Again, the prose is fascinating and it reminds me of a piece of advice relating to writing; that the universal can be found in the details. In how a girl tied violets to her rifle, how another brought a suitcase full of candy to the front, how the linens in winter came up bloodied and how one woman, decades onwards, cannot bear to go into oak or birch forests, where she once buried the dead.

Me parece bastante sorprendente ver la percepción de estas mujeres, que tal cual dice en su Título, nadie espera ver mujeres francotiradoras, o soldadas o demás.
No sé si solamente se trate de un discurso patriótico, pero leer que familias completas de mujeres se enlistaban para proteger a su patria, y que muchas de ellas querian ser vistas mas que como solo niñas delicadas, sino como las soldados entrenadas que era
