“Native Americans had tremendous faith in shamans’ healing powers, and their belief was powerful medicine in its own right. Often succeeding where Western medicine had failed.” Natives were/are very in tune with the earth. Their perceptiveness offered them the correct remedies for things, even if they didn’t fully understand the science behind it. This author is pissing me off

The STEP trial showed that prayer had no effect on patients. And patients who knew they were being prayed had higher rates of complications.
