I had read a perfect day for bananafish before and it didn’t blow my mind. But on this reread it did and I can’t stop thinking about. Uncle Wiggly was less memorable but enjoyable.

I’ve started The Laughing Man. Tis good. I am not sure I am loving all of these. The bananafish one was kind of creepy.

Read 5/9 stories "Down at the Dinghy" - Combination of maternal wisdom, the childlike innocence of a sensitive little boy and an "overheard insult". Good but not great and not published in The New Yorker.
