What a human. Maybe my current favorite Lewis book? So much kindness and generosity in his responses to all, and I learned much about his personal life that has increased my admiration. For example: He spent many years caring for a difficult older woman he called his mother. And the way he responds to children--he takes them absolutely seriously. Letters spanning from when he was 17 until shortly before his death!

Reading this slowly, more like a devotional. C. S. Lewis was such a gift to us all.
