Status Updates From The Smart Aleck's Guide to ...

I read this to brush up on US history for an upcoming certification exam. While I did relearn some things, this book annoyed me for a few reasons. The biggest reason being the format. I would NOT recommend this book especially for any student with ADHD. There were so many sidebars inserted, often in the middle of a sentence, that in some cases it would take a few pages to get to the end of the sentence.

I'm almost done with this history book, but I wanted to write a small review of what I think. This is a really great, condense history of America, the humor is a bit... juvenile. Which, may be the point, but at the same time, I didn't really appreciate the side notes in each chapter as much as I would have liked to.
