Finding out Thom and Rook are brothers blew my mind. its like coming to terms with how shitty rook treated Thom as an enemy, scaring and torturing him to only find out he's your long lost supposedly dead brother.

The story is rough to start. I was confused by the jumps between characters making it hard to follow along with what was happening initially. but after a chapter or two things started making sense. although I'm still lost how the riders and Rostand know each other.

physically can't make it through this anymore. the misogyny is so blatant. i, personally, think rook should take a long walk off a very short plank and really think about how revolting he is as a person. thought i'd be able to carry on for royston and hal but frankly that's just getting weird with all the references to how young and Innocent hal is. this reads like the authors had some unresolved kinks to work out
