This is meant to be a general overview of the relationship of Congolese people to the colonizers and history of Belgian colonization told through the story of names created by Congolese people.
It is confusing when he discusses the Katanga province and road-building up by Kinshasa in the same breath, and I have to remind myself that this book is not meant to go into details like that. He is discussing broad events.
