I love when the hero has angsty worries about being loved back. Give me more. I want all the feels.

The subtle humor in this book is wonderful. After they bang and he asks why she responds, “ you see I want to the Haunch of Vension, the inn where Joseph was killed.”

I really like this hero. He is unexpectedly lighthearted and sweet.

There is some sly humor in this book.

I can sort of relate to these people being driven to the brink of ruined by their passion for books.

“He had a disturbing, but not disagreeable, sense of being drawn into a new world of masculine friendship and reputable female company.”

I like this book so far but the seduction as distraction, plot point during the dinner in the bookshop was contrived.

Why can’t he see his sister is he is the head of the family?

Putting on hold, too slow for my mood but could be an interesting read.
