Ok I figured out the problem this book has so much purple prose to make it look dense for its short page count. I am so not in the mood for this right now

okay so i calculated the “read” percentage if you don’t include anything from “notes” onward… i am going insane but i’m reading this for book bingo but actually this book might not even count in which case i’ll lose it

wait actually i’m closer to 40% done if you don’t count the notes + everything after that

lowkey considering DNFing. the way this book is split up into chapters based on category more than chronology is bothering me

ehhh i think i'm going to just do audiobook for nonfiction going forward. i space out too much and my eyes glaze too much.

nothing like rewatching the station nightclub fire video to reignite my interest in other fire disasters. i dunno, these kinds of tragedies have lots of information to learn from.
