Quando vi que o livro foca mais nas questões culturais e teológicas (pelo menos até aqui), em vez de políticas (que é o que eu estou buscando, afinal, mais de mil anos contínuos de império), fiquei receoso, achando que eu ia odiar, mas, até onde estou (capítulo 4), está muito interessante a questão teológica entre o catolicismo e a ortodoxia, e o surgimento do humanismo ocidental
