The Island of Dr M is good and fun. I'm glad I read it again. It's certainly worthwhile.
The First Men in the Moon was, I found, more of a lighter read, and while entertaining, it doesn't seem to have as much depth to it as the better known titles in this collection.
Food of the Gods also seemed to be on the lighter side, although possibly there's more philosophical depth further in. I have so much else to read.

I decided not to re-read The Time Machine, The Invisible Man or The War of the Worlds, having enjoyed (or at least read) them previously.
I did re-read The Island of Dr. Moreau
I also read The First Men in the Moon for the first time.
While I started reading The Food of the Gods, I decided that now was not a good time for me to read this, as I was getting annoyed about deciphering a character's "humorous" dialect.
