See, this is the part where a heroine's survival instincts and testament to her character are supposed to surface. Marilee let these damning situations whittle her out into something greater--whereas Lanna has let it defeat her and reveal her inability to develop and instead, wallow in human indignities. Still waiting, Lanna!

And if that were the case--WHY was he so averse to bedding his wife, whom he compared to "having sex with my conscience"? XD

This heroine has a snap n' pop vagina, FFS--both hero/secondary were described in having done the deed FIRST... Why was that an issue? Meanwhile, at least the threat of pirates is coming up! :D *giddy glee*

Optimal time for escaping, Lanna-- during your third trimester and now you're alone on the swamp havin' labor pains. But at least we get to see her finally have some bonding time(?) with the unwanted parasite; up until now she's had the maternal instincts of a reptile.
