Sophia is a minor character, who helps reveal they Jamies mind is stronger than he thinks. On page 27 Sophia says " Your mind is stronger than you think, if you put your mind to it anything is possible. Sophia makes Jamie proud of self and makes him work even harder.

Minor characters: Sophia is a minor character who helps Jamie's awareness of others. The text says Sophia says " people don't buy your tickets because your disabled."(PG 23). Sophia's presence highlights what Jamies knows the truth about people, helping the reader understand differences between nice, and bad.
