The fact that this is mainly about the creation of DARPA rather than current cutting-edge research actually makes it MORE relevant reading 10 years post-publication. Good tie-in with related titles like Code Girls, Hidden Figures, Grunt, T-Minus, and Accessory to War.

I'm not entirely sure how relevant a 10-year old book about cutting edge tech is going to be, but I like this sort of nonfiction and it was recommended reading for The Boy, so I already have it on the (physical) shelf. This, however, is the audio edition - read by the author.
