So far, Cameron is a 14 year old boy who had a mate called Darren and a girlfriend called Marie. He was very athletic and his class went for a school trip at a nuclear power plant, and wakes up to no longer seem the same. In chapter two. The black girl Rora, gets him out and helps him to stand.

The MC always uses gender distinctions and comparisons, ie he's never been outrun "by a girl", and that because two girls are faster than him (one stated she's a fox hybrid made for bursts of speed, the other is the next gen of super-soldier to the MC) it must be a girl thing. Don't care if it's meant to aid characterization, this is exactly the kind of easy-but-wrong thinking we should be training kids out of!
