This is so frustrating, Finn is literally proving that he's a petulant child! He's literally blackmailing him into bonding and has already lined up a replacement of he doesn't get his way 🤦‍♀️

I agree with Tanner that mating at 16, even 18 is not a good idea (which is proven true by the fact that Finn hasn't even held hands with another guy before starting to date Tanner) but his actual reason for not wanting to mate is stupid and they just should communicate!

Being a pragmatist, I'm wondering if the other werewolves would be able to tell if a couple had done the claiming earlier (since they heal so quickly the bite would vanish). They could just repeat the steps in public later?

I like this. I think it totally makes sense that supernatural creatures would feel this kind of socio-cultural disjunction between their endo-culture and the broader society in which they lived, similar to being part of an immigrant family.

I’m sorry to say that thus far, this is at best, insipid. I’m going to finish it but I’m frustrated by the story. We’re 50% through the book and so far the two MCs have had two interactions, both very brief. There’s been more action between one of the MCs and another love interest than with his supposed mate. Mostly I find the reason for their separation and the separation itself to be juvenile.
