Ha! But it’s exactly like I said! A footnote on a prologue!

First time I ever appreciated “the story so far.” Also, now I remember why I put this off. The first time I heard that, my brain replaced “story” with “road” and I had Supernatural flashbacks. Hmmm. Curious….

<spoiler>If this is how Torisen feels about people with Shanir blood, just imagine how he's going to feel when he's finally reunited (as I am assuming he will be) with Jame and discovers she has Shanir blood. </spoiler> And I'm liking what I've seen of Kindrie so far, the poor guy.

Such a wonderfully weird book. Really stands out, not only among fantasy written at the time this was published (1985), but also among fantasy being published currently. While Jame is in many ways a typical genre heroine (special, super-talented, etc.), the world and her adventures make this a very unique and enjoyable read. Very spooky too! The first book, God Stalk, is also an absolute gem.
