Did we talk about how I can't finish this because both the MCs are annoying as hell? She's a racist Confederacy sympathizer and I tried to be like, ok, this was written in the 90s...but you know what? I knew slavery was wrong in the 90s.

Anyway. I can't. Life is too short to keep reading books that I don't like.

I have labored mightily over the first quarter of this book and I think it might not be for me. I don't find either of the MCs likeable and the heroine in particular rubs me the wrong way. I'm putting a pin in this one for a bit.
