Not bad, if not good. The sleuth is allegedly in her early 30s in 1993 but reacts as if she was college age in 1955 (like, for instance, the author). The Kindle cover says it's a locked room murder—technically true, but at mid-point, no one has pondered howdunit. This was Walsh's first mystery and, I think, second novel after about 25 years of writing children's books, and it shows. Promising series; I'll read on.
