Status Updates From Against Empire

Day 3: Completed reading group segment for this week. Will hold on posting thoughts like usual until after group meeting Sunday. Hopefully can provide something interesting from that. Very appreciative to be reading this book with a good group of folks.

Day 2: Nearly done with this week's reading. Through chapter 5. Parenti's explores deeper into the heart of darkness infecting this world. The emphasis on the phrase "American interests", how those interests are purchased, and who's interests are gained by exploitation and death continues to be effective. New Mexico mentioned!.. for how their Hispanic population was disproportionally killed in the Vietnam war...

Day 1: Started for DSA reading group. Need to complete chapter 7 by Sunday and two chapters down tonight. Parenti writes brass knuckle. Every statement of imperialist and capitalist abuse is meant to be hurled back at those who created it. I can hear his voice ringing in every sentence from a podium, trying to get the world to understand. What a loss we sustained this year.
