Status Updates From Half-Life

Well, that was cute. Held it's form all the way through, which I loved; the jumping back and forth coinciding events. I'd love to give this a whole 5 stars for the sheer experience, even though it admittedly dragged a lot in parts... hmm.

This has consistently been so -99 through and through, but Air's "Moon Safari" just received a mention I need to note it as well.

Where did that just recently come up before, though? I hadn't listened to it in decades, and now twice in the past half a year or so.

"...worrying that his palms felt old and callused against the young women's smooth skin."

Dang. I'm on a roll tonight.

I was actually supposed to be doing stuff today! But have been caught on this comfort read.

The way the narration continuously jumps between these people, and the way their paths keep crisscrossing each other in tiny to almost encounters creates this lingering suspense throughout the easy, and quite cinematic flow.

Loving this. Loving the frank simplicity of this all. And the obvious tension.

Things are unfolding to several interesting directions, but vacation week as it is, I have project to continue, so eye-reading must be put on hold for a moment.

Cured my headache, too; 'ice fishing' with this book did.

What? No! I didn't expect it to turn out here as well, but alright then: "a little slap of something small and metallic hitting a callused palm."

This is so pleasantly languid and atmospheric you can almost feel the cool summer evening. There's a nice, tiny suspense in the way these individuals' small events are coming together. The above quote in fact being exactly the moment it happens. Really loving this.

Rarely have I been as compelled as to order a physical copy of a book, but this one called to me, and didn't seem to have another option.

Starting off very promisingly; calm, character driven, jovial, nostalgic, and captivatingly imaginatively narrated.

I was really looking forward to drawing tonight, but a massive headache seems to be holding me back; might as well try to spend some time eye-reading, then instead.
