Honestly I LIKE that it’s in a not quite right version of earth. It’s just enough fantasy that it still feels like it fits in as a companion to the old books in the series? I can see how once the dragons left and the magic left it could have become this world I guess

I'm really enjoying this book, but it is very different from the others in the series. It's also the first time that I've ever seen a book series reference earlier books in the series as actual books in a series. Does that make sense?
